Supplement to the book Chakra – Esoteric Yoga

The techniques of the yoga tradition are best learned by following an oral instruction. Throughout the book, you will find QR codes for some of the techniques with links to video and audio files. These are collected on this page for easy access and can be downloaded as needed.

Audio Files

The audio files for the book have QR codes in the book (and direct links in the e-book edition) to Spotify. On this page, you will also find links to the same audio files at Apple Music, Youtube Music, and Tidal. Use the service you have a subscription with so that you avoid unnecessary advertising. Download the audio files for offline listening. If you do not have a subscription to any of the mentioned services, you can also download the audio files from this page – either individually or as a zip file. You should preferably avoid being disturbed when doing relaxation and meditation. Then listen to the audio files without being connected to the network. It is an advantage to put your mobile in flight mode especially when you practice relaxation and meditation.

Adjust the sound so that it is comfortable to listen to – not too loud / not too low.

Videos

You can watch the videos directly on this page or on Apple TV as there are instructions in some of the yoga poses, a breathing technique and nose cleaning. You can also download them if desired.

How to Use This Material?

  1. A good mat to do exercises and relaxation on
  2. A blanket to wear over the body during relaxation and
  3. A slightly hard pillow to sit on for breathing exercises and possible meditation.

Once you have this in place, launch the audio file (or video). If the device you are using goes to sleep go to the setting for this and turn it off (temporarily).

We hope you enjoy these audio files and videos – and using them will have the beneficial effect that yoga, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation can give you.

Lesson description

All the yoga techniques in the book have good illustrations and thoroughly instructions. But especially long, complex sequences of yoga poses such as Sun, I Greet You can be a challenge to do only after reading about them. They are therefore available here for easier learning.

The Wave Breath

Wave Breath is a breathing technique that makes the diaphragm more elastic so that the stomach's function as a breathing pump is re-established. It also has a relaxing effect on both body and mind. See Chapter 3, Pranayama - Yoga Breath, page 24. You can also download the video.

Chapters: The longer yoga programs are divided into sections (Chapters) such as introduction, yoga program, breathing techniques, etc. When you have done one of the long programs once, it is e.g. okay next time to skip the introduction. Then just tap the 3 bars in the bottom right corner of the video. Then the video will start there. That way you can easily choose to only do part of the process e.g. a relaxation or breathing exercises and relaxation.

Quality: Press the tool symbol in the lower right corner of the video player and you can select the quality of playback: If you have a poor internet connection or watch the video on your mobile, select ‘240p’ or ‘360p’. If you have a good internet connection and watch the video on a large screen (eg the TV), select ‘1080p’). Basically, the setting is set to ‘Auto’ so that the playback adjusts itself to the device you are watching the video on or the internet speed you have. Full-screen view: In addition, you can tap the cross symbol in the bottom right corner to watch the video on your entire screen.
